IN MEMORY OF JUDE MACDONALD is raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young
In memory of Jude MacDonald

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 ·

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

The Aberdeen Kiltwalk is on Sun 1 June 2025. Join Jude’s friends and family on a Mighty Stride or Wee Wander, while raising vital funds for Cardiac screening in the Aberdeen area .

Every week in the UK, at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Jude was one of them. He died in 2023, aged just 16. Each day without Jude is unimaginable, we miss him more and more as each day passes, no family or friend should have to experience this pain and heartache.

Every young person deserves the choice to be screened - and with your support, we can provide more cardiac screenings and save young lives.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
