Story
I have always loved a bit of craziness but jumping out of a plane might be taking it a step too far even for me!
I didn’t know Jude personally but my best friend’s daughter was a close friend of his. Hearing about Jude and the impact his loss has had on everyone around him has really stayed with me and I wanted to do something meaningful to help.
Jude MacDonald was just 16 years old when he tragically died from an undiagnosed heart condition. There were no warning signs, no symptoms, and no chance to say goodbye.
Jude was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was kind, gentle, funny, and full of life someone who was truly loved by everyone who knew him.
I’m doing this skydive to support Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a fund created in loving memory of Jude. CRY works to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in young people by providing heart screenings, supporting families, and raising awareness of these hidden conditions
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
