Dear Friends,

Margarete died peacefully at home on August 30th, on Irina’s birthday under a blue moon. We were cuddling and telling her stories about our memories of going to the beach in Crete with her when she left us.

Please don’t be sad. Smile, hug a friend or loved one and raise a margarita to life and love.

Margarete requests that any donations in her memory are made to the Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre in Peebles. Margarete and Bill were founding donors of the theatre, which is a hub for community life in the small town of Peebles. Margarete attended many performances there over the years and filled many loyalty cards at the cafe.

Each of you enriched Margarete’s life and we are confident that she enriched yours.
