Story
On Sunday, 7th December 2025, I’ll be taking part in a 5km run in memory of my beloved wife, Sharon Fisher, and dear friends, Bryan Dean and Tommy Ashworth. A link is here to the run: https://www.stcatherines.co.uk/shop/events/hospice-fundraising/santa-dash/
Everyone will be running to celebrate the incredible impact Sharon, Brian, and Tommy had on everyone who knew them, and to raise funds for the wonderful team at St Catherine’s Hospice.
The staff at St Catherine’s do incredible work, and I wanted to challenge myself to complete a 5km run as part of my weight loss journey — a tribute I know Sharon, Bryan, and Tommy would all be proud of. My goal is to raise £250, but I’d love to go beyond that to support this amazing cause.
About St Catherine’s Hospice:
St Catherine’s provides expert palliative and end-of-life care for people across Central Lancashire — both at the hospice and in people’s own homes. They help those living with life-shortening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease, and heart failure to live with comfort, dignity, and the best possible quality of life.
It costs over £5 million each year to keep St Catherine’s running, and they rely on the incredible generosity of supporters like you. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support!
