Story
In Loving Memory of Tom Bailey
29.9.75-2.2.25
On the 2nd of May our brilliant brother/brother-in-law died having contracted sepsis. He’d been admitted to hospital only 36 hours before.
Tom was hugely loved by so many people and made a massive impact on so many lives. The cards, messages and tributes we have gratefully received speak constantly of a man with a huge heart who was immensely kind, generous and who would go out of his way to help anyone. The loss we are facing is unfathomable.
During his life, Tom was committed to raising money for charity. As such, in lieu of funeral flowers, we are inviting those who loved him to donate to 1 of the 3 different charities we feel sure Tom would have approved of.
We will miss Tom more than words can ever express but we will try to keep on doing some of the good things he did in the world and making a positive difference to others where we can.
Thank-you all so much,
Jena and Simon
“Fare thee well”. 💙
Tom trained for and volunteered with the Samaritans for many years. This organisation meant a great deal to him and he made many friends amongst his colleagues.
Many people find it hard to speak openly or ask for help, but talking can be life-saving – whether it's with a colleague, family member, friend or helpline like Samaritans. Every 10 seconds, Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help. Samaritans are available, for free, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to listen and support people with whatever they are facing, with no judgement. It’s only your kind donations and 23,000 listening volunteers that ensure Samaritans can always be there for anyone struggling to cope. Thank you for your help.
