Inaaya will be taking part in a one mile TCS Mini London Marathon 2023 to raise funds for her school.

What is special this year?

The organisers of the London Marathon have teamed up with the Guinness World Records to create a truly special challenge - to create the most pledges for an exercise campaign in one month! Many schools across the country have signed up for this challenge, and HPS are excited to join this campaign and get our children to be part of a real-life world record attempt (the first for many we believe)!

As part of this challenge, all students will need to run, jog or walk one mile.

We have mapped out a route around the school campus and are planning to hold this event on Thursday, 11 May 2023.

Our motivation in participating in this campaign is to inspire activity, especially in our children, regardless of age or ability. Getting our children active from a young age have many benefits physically, mentally, and psychologically.

Upon successfully completing this event, we will receive an official certificate from Guinness World Records. We will be organising a fundraising campaign for all students as part of the TCS Mini London Marathon.

The funds would be used for various projects around the school that the Department for Education is unable to fund for, such as the Key Stage 2 playground, Art & DT Room, Islamic Design around the school, Science Solarium and books for enrichment. Every pound raised will go a long way is ensuring a more enhanced

learning experience for our children.
