Story

🏔️ Ben Nevis Fridge Climb for Mental Health

On 7th May 2026, the Denholm Energy Services Group will be taking on an extraordinary challenge: climbing Ben Nevis (1,345 metres) in support of the Royal British Legion (Bridgwater Somerset Division).

Starting at 8:00am (earlier if weather permits), our team will attempt to reach the summit via the Mountain Path, while carrying a refrigerator for the entire ascent.

Why a fridge?

The fridge represents the heavy and often invisible burden carried by many within the Armed Forces community who are struggling with mental health challenges. It symbolises the weight of anxiety, trauma, and isolation that too many veterans and serving personnel face every day.

By carrying this physical weight to the top of the UK’s highest mountain, we aim to raise awareness, spark important conversations, and generate vital funding for the Royal British Legion’s mental health services.
