Hi!

We have joined Barts Hike for Health to be part of the historic 900th anniversary celebrations of St Bartholomew's Hospital.

This Sunday 1st October 2023, Victor (age 4) and Freddie (age 18 months) will be walking alongside (or on the shoulders of) me and my husband Patrick on a 5km hike in support of life-changing healthcare for East London. We aim to raise £300 to help Barts Charity support Clinical research and Cancer treatments.

Barts Charity has been crucial in helping me and my colleagues set up our research laboratory and create a new Research Centre dedicated to Cancer (Barts Centre for Squamous Cancer). Barts Charity’s support allows the development of cutting-edge research to improve detection, treatment, and quality of life for patients with oral and skin squamous cancer. This support will not only improve outcomes for cancer patients but will also make a significant contribution to global research, saving lives for generations.
