Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

In August 2020 I was diagnosed with incurable Sarcomas in my arm.

On 7th September 2024 I am going to be taking on the personal challenge of abseiling 100 feet down the side of Nottingham Queens Medical Hospital to raise money for The East Midlands Sarcoma Service Nottingham Hospitals Charity, with just one arm. By completing this challenge the money raised will go to a great organisation who will continue to help people through difficult times.

Sarcomas are uncommon cancers that can affect any part of your body. A key symptom of sarcoma is a lump that gets bigger quickly. Most people get diagnosed when their sarcoma is about the size of a large tin of baked beans. There are many different types of sarcoma. All sub-types of sarcoma can be grouped into soft tissue sarcomas and bone sarcomas. Sarcomas commonly affect the arms, legs and torso. Sarcomas can also appear in the pelvis, stomach and intestines as well as behind the abdomen and internal reproductive organs.
