300 laps around the common · 29 June 2024

We’re the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. And we’re building a future where people and nature thrive together. That’s why we’re passionate about sharing the planet’s resources more sustainably, tackling climate change and protecting endangered wildlife.

Story

6 primary school friends from Peppard are attempting to run 300 laps around their local common to raise money for WWF.

Lucas Johnston from Peppard Common came up with the idea to organise a fundraiser after learning about endangered species and their threatened habitat at school. He asked some of his classmates to join him and they all agreed it was a great idea.

Lucas and his friends, Islay Austin, Lucien Morris, Evan Cuthbert-Brown, Ruby Jones and Jake Smithers are all in year 5 at Peppard Primary. They have been doing some training together in the last few weeks, even the heavy rains haven’t stopped them getting ready.

They will be running on Saturday the 29th of June.

1 lap is 250m, which means they hope to run 75km in total, 12.5km each.

Please support them by donating! Every little bit helps!
