Story
Thank you for visiting our page.
My dad really enjoyed visiting The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, please read a short story about my dad and his love for trains.
Paul Leveridge, 66 yrs, was a brother to Graham and Vincent, cousin, uncle, father to Amie and Daniel and a fantastic grandad to his young grandchildren Jackson and Lexie.
Paul was a train enthusiast, his love of the locomotives spread to his daughter Amie whom he shared many adventures with. Their favorite memory was traveling on the Union of Africa steam train.
The enthusiasm grew when he noticed his grandchildren also shared the same love and interest with trains like he did.
Their adventures started small with train journeys starting from Wolverton Train station, near to where Paul was living at the time. They would go back and forth from Wolverton station to Milton Keynes, get a Costa and travel back. They would also sit in the near by feild and watch as the trains went passed. As they got older, they started taking the trains to explore Birmingham and London together.
Their adventures also took Paul, Amie and his grandson Jackson to The Great Central Railway Station in Loughborough. Jackson could not believe his luck when he managed to ride so many locomotives.
But Paul and his Grandkids always had a soft spot for The Buckingham Railway Centre, visiting during the Thomas the Tank Engine events, meeting Santa at Christmas and Learning about what it takes to become a fireman, ambulance crew and a policeman during emergency service days. So many amazing memories and more that will stay with us all.
Paul had so many adventures on trains ahead of him with his family, and many more visits to The Buckinhamshire Railway Centre.
Please take the time to donate to this amazing railway center in my dad’s memory. We know he would be very grateful.
