Fundraising in loving memory of James Kerry

Katie Kerry is raising money for Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre - University of Nottingham

Team: James Kerry's team fundraising page for Children’s Brain Tumour Research

In memory of James Kerry
For nearly 30 years, our world-leading researchers and clinicians at the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC) have been working tirelessly to stop brain tumours from shattering the lives of young people and their families.

Story

Our kind, loving and brave son James passed away on 6th October 2026.

James was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumour, in April 2024. Whilst James was going through intensive cancer treatment, he kept smiling and fundraising to help other children.

James touched the hearts of so many people during his short 9 years. He was a very special boy who brought joy to our lives everyday. He was the best big brother to Freddie.

We will talk about and remember James always. He will forever be part of us. His cheeky grin, his love of football, his kindness towards others and his sense of humour will hold a special place in our hearts.

We have set up this page for people who wish to make a donation in memory of James. All donations will go to the Childrens Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC).

Donations to CBTRC helps their pioneering research team to develop innovative new treatments to help give children with brain tumours the bright future that they deserve.
