Story
To mark 25 years since Joshua Shram Cornelius z''l died of a rare form of abdominal cancer in 1998, aged 7 years old, we are launching a fundraising appeal.
After Joshua died, Sarah ran The Joshua Foundation and one of the charity's fundraising activities was an overseas expedition called The Oz Experience. The first group travelled to Australia to undertake conservation work after raising funds for children with terminal cancer in April 2002. One of the team members in that first group was Cath Coundley from Heol Ddu Comprehensive School. Unfortunately, Cath lost her daughter Rose to cancer in 2020, and we feel that it is appropriate that we support her charitable aims in marking 25 years since Joshua died.
Please support this cause in memory of Joshua.
Roses Way Foundation aims to walk hand in hand with families of terminally ill children to help them create lasting memories. The foundation also continues woth the families on their journey to a new normal focusing heavily on bereaved siblings and helping the whole family to cope with life after loss.
Also with support from the National Lottery Community fund, they have teamed up with the Worry Wizard to help primary school-age children on a path from Worry to Wellbeing, regardless of whether they suffered a loss or not, children's mental health is as important.
