Our daughter Lily Grace Fitzgibbon was born asleep on 1/6/2024. Prior to this, at 28 weeks the pregnancy had been straightforward with no cause for concern at any scans or appointments. It is only after having this experience ourselves that we have realised how many people are affected by the death of a baby.

The support we have received has been vital in helping us process our loss. Therefore, we would like to raise money in Lily's memory to ensure that other families are provided with the logistical and emotional guidance when they need it most.

We hope to do further fundraising initiatives in the future. For now though, any donations to Sands would be gratefully received.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
