Inner Echo fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Inner Echo Walk For Alzheimer’s Challenge · 12 May 2025
This fundraising challenge was set up by members of the Inner Echo, a private community for fans of the Whitelabrecs and Driftworks record labels. We came up with this idea in response to an album by Tides, who is one of the artists on Whitelabrecs. Sam, the artist, created an album called Where Here Flowers Still Bloom (check it out HERE) which is a deeply personal exploration of memory, grief, and healing, written as a response to witnessing his mother Gillian’s battle with early-onset dementia.
We thought that as a community, volunteers could take up the challenge of walking (or running!) at least 10,000 steps per day for seven consecutive days. Currently there are four of us who have agreed to participate and at the end of this activity, we will create a blog post to share thoughts, pictures and music from the experience.
The Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives and they do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future. Please give generously if you are able to, as this will make a big difference to someone, somewhere.
