Story
As a dad of five, it is impossible to imagine the fear and heartbreak of being told that your child has cancer.
I’m running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for The Christie, which provides specialist treatment and support for children and young people facing cancer. Its work includes highly precise proton beam therapy, dedicated care for teenagers and young adults, pioneering research and vital emotional support for patients and their families.
Training for and running 26.2 miles will be difficult, but it is nothing compared with what these young people and their families endure. Every donation will help The Christie continue providing exceptional care and hope when it is needed most.
