Step Challenge · 1 June 2024

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

Every day for the month of June, 19 members of staff from the Internal Operations division are committed to walking an average of 10,000 steps each, with the collective goal of reaching 5,700,000 steps by the end of the month.

We chose this step challenge to honor the dedication of hospice nurses who walk an average of 10,000 steps daily while caring for their patients and supporting families. In addition to our steps, we will also capture 370 photos, symbolizing the 370 children and young people cared for by the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice each year.

Our efforts are in support of the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice, where compassionate care is provided to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. By participating in this challenge, we aim to raise awareness and vital funds for this important cause.

We kindly ask for your support in helping us reach our fundraising goal of £1,000. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and their families.
