Taking the Leap for Inverclyde Families

Inverclyde Intensive Family Support Service is raising money for Aberlour – Scotland’s children’s charity

Skydive · 21 November 2026

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.

Story

Help us support Inverclyde families

We’re taking on a sky dive to raise money for Aberlour’s Intensive Family Support Service in Inverclyde — and we’d love your support!

Our team is made up of Aberlour colleagues and Social Work colleagues from Inverclyde and Glasgow: Mark Fulton, Leigh Skelton, Pamela Brown, Craig Lapsley, Andrew Gourley, Amy Dickson and Margaret Mckay. We’re stepping well outside our comfort zones to raise money for something we care deeply about — supporting children and families in our local community.

Every day, families across Inverclyde can face challenges such as poverty, disadvantage, isolation and other forms of adversity. Sometimes, having the right support at the right time can make all the difference.

Our Intensive Family Support Service works alongside children and families, helping them build on their strengths, overcome challenges and create positive, lasting change. Every penny raised through this fundraiser will go directly towards supporting the children and families we work with across Inverclyde.

Your donation could help provide opportunities, experiences, practical support and resources that make a real difference to a child or family when they need it most.

So, while we may be absolutely terrified about jumping out of a plane, knowing that we’re doing it for the children and families we support makes it worthwhile!

Please donate whatever you can and help us make every leap count. 💙

Thank you so much for supporting us, Aberlour and, most importantly, the children and families of Inverclyde.
