New Start Highland creates positive change for people transitioning from homelessness or overcoming times of crisis. Each year, the organisation helps over 1,500 individuals take meaningful steps toward brighter futures. Many of these people are trained to join the workforce within local businesses, including Chamber members. With a holistic approach, New Start Highland provides tailored services ranging from housing support to skills training, empowering people to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. Since it launched in 2000, the organisation has diverted 10,000 tonnes of furniture from landfill and has distributed over 30,000 furniture and starter packs. In the last year alone, it has served the community over 132,000 times.
