Story
On 14 June 2025, I will take on The Wall – a gruelling 70-mile ultramarathon from Carlisle to Newcastle – to raise money in support of breast cancer care in our region. As a consultant breast surgeon, I’ve had the privilege of treating hundreds of patients over the years. Many have survived. Some have not.
This run is in honour of all the women who lost their lives to breast cancer, whose strength and dignity I will carry with me every step of the way. My aim is to raise awareness of breast cancer, to honour the memory of those we have lost, and to raise funds for the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust to help create a dedicated breast unit for our local community.
This unit will offer privacy, dignity, and specialist care for all patients facing breast disease. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring that vision closer to reality. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no one faces this journey alone.
I kindly ask you to support my challenge by donating towards my target of £1,000. Your generosity will not only inspire me as I run but also provide essential resources for those in need. Thank you for being part of this important cause.
