Gregor is a 4 year old boy who was born with a neurological condition which affects his balance and motor skills. But nothing stops this little boys strength, determination and the pure character that he is.

He has surprised us all in the last 6 months by learning to walk short distances independently - something that we were unsure if we would ever see!

We are working really hard to help him with his independent walking outside now, as he still uses his walking frame for balance and stability outdoors. With the uneven surfaces and not so many stopping objects for him to walk to, he finds this a bit more difficult than walking indoors.

He has recently taken an interest in ‘trying loops around the hoose’ without his walker, which is another huge step forward for him!

He is honestly the most inspirational little boy in this world - he keeps surprising us all with his capabilities, and proving to us all that, in the words of Gregor, ‘I can do it’ 🩵

Inclusive Orkney is a charity here in Orkney that provides activities and events for children with additional support needs and their families.

Gregor has been able to attend many activities and sports events, which he wouldn’t have otherwise been able to participate in without Inclusive Orkney. We feel like we will never be able to do enough to thank this charity for everything they do for us - for giving Gregor such amazing opportunities in life and for being such fantastic support to his mummy too. At only 4 years old, Gregor is recognising how amazing this group is and how much they are doing for him!

Putting 2 and 2 together, we have decided that we could do some ‘loops o the hoose’ to raise money for Inclusive Orkney.

Gregor thinks he can do 30 loops for 30 days, and he’s going to try as much of this as he can without his walker, but he says ‘if I need it then that’s ok too’ 🩵

Gregor and Myself (Iona Corse, Gregor’s Mummy), would really appreciate any donation to Inclusive Orkney, and all words of encouragement towards this huge challenge for him.

We will be starting this on Monday 16th February 🚶‍♂️
