Story
I am a final year PhD student studying the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Specifically I investigate how proteins (the building blocks of brain cells) fold up incorrectly inside cells of people with Parkinson's disease to form sticky aggregates and how we can reduce this to keep cells healthy for longer.
I have been lucky enough to receive ARUK research funding during my DPhil and am keen to give back to the resourcing of this vital organisation in dementia research funding in the UK. Please contribute as much as you are able, every pound help fight dementia 💪🏻
