In Loving Memory of Kieran Mistry
It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear colleague and friend, Kieran Mistry, who was taken from us far too soon. 24th September 2024.
Kieran began his journey with JLR back in 2013, starting as a Group Leader at Solihull, before moving through various impactful roles in GME, the Manufacturing Business Office, and most recently in Industrial Operations Strategy. One of Kieran’s greatest strengths was his willingness to dive into the unknown and make a difference—often by being “chucked in at the deep end,” as he liked to say.
His legacy lives on in the tools and systems he helped build. Kieran was self-taught in SharePoint, and he created our original space along with one of our earliest Power Apps. Many of us still remember the first IOS logo—a symbol of which he was incredibly proud.
But beyond his professional achievements, Kieran was a devoted father to his two children, Dominik and Lena, who he spoke of often and loved deeply. Our thoughts are with them, and with all who feel his absence.
This is also a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health. Many suffer in silence, and some with visible struggles. Let us continue to support one another, check in, and foster a culture of openness and care.
We will always remember Kieran—not just for what he did, but for who he was. His warmth, creativity, and courage left a mark on all of us.
Rest in peace, Kieran. You are missed, and you are remembered.
