Cats Protection for Ten

Isle of Wight Cat Centre Cats Protection is raising money for Cats Protection
We share our lives with cats. They bring happiness to millions of us every day. Yet too many cats don’t get the care and kindness they deserve. At Cats Protection we stand up for every cat to make life better for cats and the people who care for them.

Story

We recently had a dear little kitten who has had a tough time and needed care.

On Thursday 17th October 2024 this poor boy was taken in to the vets with horrific injuries to his back legs. He was thought to be about 10 weeks old.

He was taken into Island Vet Care where it was found that he had horrendous fractures to both of his back legs, as you can see from his x-rays the breaks are severe. It’s thought that his injuries were not recent, and he had been suffering for some time. We don’t know what happened to this little guy, but it was traumatic. There was nothing to be done but to give this guy the best chance and head straight to the operating theatre.

He's been called Lieutenant Dan by the vets - 'Ten' for short as they’ve (hopefully) given him another life! He has was signed off as fit to home and using his legs at the end of 2024, running, jumping as a kitten should which made us so happy to see. He has been a wonderful patient and has been getting lots of love and cuddles with the amazing team at the vets.

His surgery and aftercare has been expensive, anything we can raise to help towards Ten’s care would be a huge help, for our Centre. Ten has official been rehomed and is doing fantastic in his new home.

Help to support our work and allow us to help cats who are in life-threatening situations. Thank you for you kind donation.
