Louisa Secretan is raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

Goal Saving · 17 May 2026

We’re here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Story

Ira's uncle Ed was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 48 in 2023. Ed ran the London Marathon last year and raised over £22k. Ira was dismayed to learn that he would not be allowed to also run the London Marathon yet, because he is only 7 years old. But he really wanted to support his uncle and raise some money for Cure Parkinson's. So he came up with the idea of saving goals to help save people from Parkinson's.

Ira will be up at Blythe Hill Fields with a football goal and a football on the afternoon of 17th May 2026 and he wants to save 100 goals (at least) while he's up there - we'll be there from 2.30pm until 4.30pm with cakes and treats to sell as well. Please come and have a shot and see if you can get past Ira's amazing goalie skills!

For every save, we will be putting in £1 ourselves, but we are also encouraging people to donate separately on here - even if you can't come and take a penalty yourself.
