Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Myself and a group of friends are running the Athora Bruges Half Marathon in October. We are doing this in aid of The Friend's of Sawbridgeworth Neuro Centres. This organisation has huge personal significance to me, having met my wonderful client of 8 years here back in 2019. Residents in these centres may be at the very start of their rehabilitation journey or a significant way through it. Either way, providing new experiences, enrichment and support is a key driver of recovery and wellbeing. Please take a moment to read the wonderful work that The Friend's of Sawbridgeworth are doing. Any donations, no matter how big or small would be gratefully appreciated!

The Friends raise money to support Sawbridgeworth Neuro Centre. They raise funds to provide "nice to have" items which the NHS cannot provide for residents of a home for adults and young persons with severe brain injuries. Most have mobility issues and are in wheelchairs. All have complex needs which not only affect them but also their families.

These things are not necessarily covered by any official funding. The Friends have been able to create a Woodland garden for all to use, and organise volunteers to help maintain it. They also fund Concerts, equipment and other activities too.

They also adopt residents who may not have any funds or visitors, to ensure they have clothes, and are able to participate in any activities that may have a cost, as well as paying for haircuts or any other requirements they may have.
