Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving .
A few months ago, after someone I knew was diagnosed with a serious condition, I decided to go for a full health check. It was during this check that a concerning mole was discovered, requiring further investigation for melanoma. At the time, I thought nothing of it—until a melanoma specialist told me it needed to be urgently removed and tested. At the start of December I had surgery by a Melonoma specialist, rested up and then waited for the results.
The wait for results was one of the most challenging experiences I’ve faced. Being in my 30's, with a family to think about, I didn’t know what to expect. For a whole month, I lived in uncertainty, fearing the worst. Finally, at the end of December, I received the incredible news that while the mole had started to show signs of transformation, no melanoma was present, and that if I had not acted when I did the results could have been very different. I was extremely lucky. Now, I have been told I need to undergo regular checkups due to the number of moles on my body, ensuring that any changes are caught early.
Melanoma is a relentless and aggressive cancer. Shockingly, it is the most common cancer in people aged 15 to 34. Early detection can save lives, and that’s why I’m raising awareness and funds for Melanoma UK.
For the month of February, I’m challenging myself to do 100 squats a day to support this vital cause. Any donation, big or small, will help fund life-saving research, raise awareness, and support those affected by melanoma.
If you can, please donate and share my page to help spread awareness—because early detection truly makes a difference.
