Join our Charity Swim for Motor Nuerone Disease🏊
Join Irish Dental Jobs for a charity swim in support of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), as we come together to support our colleague, Dr Jon (Joff) Machell, a specialist orthodontist from the UK: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jon-machell-14950a23/recent-activity/all/
Joff was working as an orthodontist in Exeter when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in October 2025. Since his diagnosis, Joff has chosen to face the disease in an inspiring way — raising funds and awareness through cold-water dips, while encouraging others to get involved and support the MND community.
We were moved by Joff’s story and, to show our support, we’ve organised a charity sea dip to raise funds for MND Ireland.

A message from Joff:
"This is completely amazing, thank you so so much for your kind support, I am genuinely blown away, especially as the Irish sea is going to be seriously cold on 7th March. What you are doing is incredibly kind and I am 100% happy with the wording. Please make sure that you film it as you will be instant legends!! MND is horrid and we all need to join together and fight it as it can strike anyone at anytime and it shows no mercy. Please post it everywhere and lets see how many people will get on board. I really can's tell you how much this means to me and the MND Association"
