London to Brighton Bike Ride · 11 May 2026

Aching Arms is a UK-registered charity that supports families grieving the loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after. We provide comfort teddy bears to over 190 NHS hospitals and offer a confidential support service through our Bereavement Care Team. www.achingarms.co.uk

Story

The 5th Annual London to Brighton bike ride will this year be raising money for Aching Arms.

Aching Arms is a UK charity supporting families after the heartbreak of pregnancy or baby loss. They provide soft comfort bears to hospitals, hospices and support organisations, offering something to hold when a family’s arms feel painfully empty. Last year alone, they donated over 5,000 bears to bereaved parents, and they now work with more than 190 hospitals across the UK.

Alongside the bears, the Supporting Arms service offers one to one emotional support by phone or email, delivered by trained volunteers who have experienced baby loss themselves. This ensures parents never have to face their grief alone.

They also work with employers and healthcare teams to raise awareness, improve understanding, and advocate for better bereavement care.

By supporting Aching Arms, you’re helping them reach even more families at their most difficult moment — with compassion, comfort and connection.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
