Two years of violence and conflict has been tearing Sudan apart, creating the world’s biggest humanitarian catastrophe.
With the war spreading across Sudan, it is now the largest displacement crisis on earth. The armed conflict has displaced an estimated 15 million people, 53% of whom are children. Many are living in temporary camps where conditions are abysmal.

Over the past year the war has spread across the country, creating what is now the world’s largest displacement crisis. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the armed conflict has displaced an estimated 14 million people, 53% of whom are children. Many are living in temporary camps where conditions are abysmal.
Around 27,000 people are confirmed killed, but the real death toll is likely to be much higher as fatalities are believed to be underreported and the death toll from hunger, disease and lack of basic services could rise far higher. At least 50 aid workers have been killed.
