This May, I will be running the Great Manchester Half Marathon to support the Alzheimer's Society, a fantastic charity that supports those living with dementia, funds research projects for earlier diagnosis and provides hope for those directly and indirectly affected by this cruel disease.

Last July, my Grandad sadly passed away from dementia after a long, difficult battle with the disease of over 15 years. This was a challenging time for him and my family, especially as the effects of the disease worsened, leading him to go under special care for the later years of his life.

I will be running in his memory and attempting to raise as much as possible to contribute to a great cause - ensuring that no one faces dementia alone.

Any donations, no matter the size, are greatly appreciated and ultimately help to reach my goal of £300. All donations can be processed through this page and go directly to Alzheimer's Society.
