Cycle to Verbier from Liverpool · 4 September 2024

Our mission is to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis. Since opening in 2018, we’ve helped over 4,300 suicidal men access free, life-saving therapy at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 75% of deaths by suicide are men, but suicides are preventable. Donate today to help save lives.

Story

Earlier this year, our friend Jordan Berry lost his life to suicide - he was 29.

Bez was a close friend to us all. We each got to know him in Verbier over the winters, so it was incredibly upsetting to hear of such a tragedy last February. We all miss him very much.

Our goal is to raise money and awareness for men’s mental health by attempting to cycle from Jordan's childhood football team stadium - Anfield, Liverpool - to Verbier - Switzerland in 8 days, averaging over 180km per day. This will be a momentous challenge for a rather amateur cycling crew, yet the cause is truly worth it.

Bez was a great friend and we hope to honour his memory.

At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. Yet, in the UK suicide is still the single leading cause of death of men under 50. We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis to help them find hope for the future.
