Story
I’m swapping the scroll for a stroll this October as part of HEART UK’s Swap the Scroll for a Stroll challenge.
Instead of spending more time scrolling on my phone, I’ll be turning that time into movement, fresh air, and positive action by walking throughout National Cholesterol Month. On 1 October 2026, I’ll be taking on the 150 Miles – Champion challenge in support of HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity.
This challenge means a great deal to me because it raises awareness of high cholesterol, which is a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, and vascular dementia. Nearly 1 in 2 adults in the UK has raised cholesterol, often without even knowing it. That is why HEART UK’s work is so important: helping people understand and manage their cholesterol, offering support to families affected by inherited conditions such as familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH), and advocating for better awareness and care.
I am incredibly grateful for every step I will take, and I would be deeply thankful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will help HEART UK continue its vital work raising awareness, providing support, and campaigning for a healthier future.
Please consider donating to my fundraising target of £200 and helping me make a real difference through HEART UK’s Swap the Scroll for a Stroll challenge.
