Story

Our story...

Isabella (5) is walking and fundraising for CHSF, to help children who need them. In her words “I’m walking because of the box in daddy’s chest (pacemaker) that helps his heart and other children that need help, because it’s a nice thing to do”.

Isabella’s daddy was born very early with a congenital heart defect and has had several heart operations including open heart surgery as a child and an adult.

I am on my 2nd pacemaker after having the first in my mid 20s so Isabella has always been aware that daddy’s heart is not quite the same as other people’s. Having had all my surgeries in Leeds, first at Killingbeck an now at LGI, we as a family are always very aware and appreciative of the great work all the staff do and the important of the fundraising and awareness raising work CHSF does.

We're taking part in Superhero Walk on Sunday 14th September for Children's Heart Surgery Fund. Because of super people like you, we can raise money, fund life-saving projects and make a real difference to those living with congenital heart disease in our region.
