🥾 Why Am I Climbing Mount Mulanje For Microloan Foundation?

Later this month, I will be climbing Mount Mulanje in Malawi with a group of board members and supporters of MicroLoan Foundation USA. MicroLoan Foundation USA, the non-profit for which we are raising money, enables some of the world's most disadvantaged women to work their way out of poverty by providing them with training and micro-loans – a cause close to my heart.

In addition to climbing the majestic Mount Mulanje, we will be traveling to Malawi (at our own expense) to visit our in-country team and meet some MicroLoan clients who have started successful businesses.

🫶 What Does Microloan Foundation Do?

Microloan Foundation helps women in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe start successful businesses to build independence and financial resilience. Since 2002, MicroLoan has supported more than 450,000 entrepreneurial women, with an estimated 1.9 million children, who now have increased access to nutritious food, healthcare, and education. We also educate women on saving benefits and encourage them to make modest savings to provide insurance against future crop failure, family illness, and other unpredictable situations. MicroLoan's vision is a world where all those living in poverty have the opportunity to build better lives for themselves and their families.
