For 200 years, discoveries made at Manchester have changed the world. But for everything that’s already been achieved, there’s much more left to do. You’ll make sure the best researchers bring us closer to solving our world’s biggest challenges.

Story

This year, I'll put on my training shoes and take on the Purple Wave challenge to support Manchester's life-changing research.

As well as helping research that helps important causes around the world, UoM has an incredible Cancer Research sector dedicated towards prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Cancer has had a significant impact on my family, as it has on many others. Thanks to ongoing research and remarkable treatments, I was able to be born, and now I find comfort in knowing that my Dad is receiving quality care during his treatment.

Please consider donating anything you have, I promise I'll run fast

Thank you! Isla :)
