ClearBank Mere to Mountain 2026

ClearBank are joining the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in their movement against suicide, the leading cause of death for 125 people every week in the UK and the single biggest killer of men under 50 and young people in the UK.

Story

Over the last couple of years, our charity treks have be come one of those standout ClearBank experiences — a chance to step away from the day‑to‑day, meet brilliant people from across the group, and take on something we'll still be talking about months later. And the best part: we do it while raising vital funds for CALM.

Mere to Mountain is a two‑day guided mountain trekking, cycling and kayaking challenge in the UK. The challenge will take our team through some of the UK’s most iconic landscapes — starting on the open water of Lake Windermere, before moving through the Lake District by bike and onwards into the mountains on foot. It’s a challenge that feels epic from the very first paddle, and one they'll experience together from start to finish.

Every £12.20 raised helps fund a potentially life saving call to CALM’s helpline — offering support at the moment it’s needed most. CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a leading UK suicide prevention charity, providing free, confidential support through its helpline and digital services to anyone who is struggling.

Over the past three years, ClearBank has partnered with CALM with a shared fundraising ambition of £90,000. We’re now in year three of that partnership, and we’ve met our annual target every year — driven by the collective efforts of colleagues across the bank.

Our charity treks have been a cornerstone of that impact. They bring people together around a shared challenge, while generating vital funds that directly support CALM’s life‑saving work — from answering helpline calls to providing practical support for those who need it most.
