1 million steps

On the 10 September, join Ben West and walk 1 million steps for Suicide Prevention Day.

Story

On 10 September, I'm joining the challenge to walk 1 million steps for Shout on Suicide Prevention Day.

Every 60 seconds, someone reaches out to Shout for support and has a conversation that could save their life.

I have been volunteering with Shout for around a year to support those who are in crisis. Mental Health is a cause close to my heart and I feel passionate about doing all I can to support those who need it. I am currently in my third year of studying psychology at Northumbria University and hopefully in the future I will be able to work in the clinical field to support those who are mentally ill.

£10 can pay for a conversation with someone in crisis

£25 can fund a clinician to provide expert supervision of conversations on Shout's digital mental health platform.

£250 can train a new Shout Volunteer to take life-saving conversations.
