I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon on the 6th of October in honour of my mum Lauren, who passed away on the 12th of May 2022 aged just 53 years. My mum died from the incredibly rare brain disease Sporadic CJD, which affects only 2 people in a million each year. For the last 4 months of her life she was bed bound, immobile and relied on full time care.

As a family we were lucky to be supported by a team of nurses and carers from Marie Curie. The support this charity offers for families is invaluable and wouldn’t be possible without people’s generosity. Anything you can contribute would be fantastic, big or small! Thank-you 🌼💛🏃‍♀️
