Hi I'm Isobel and I'm 9 years old and this year, rather than just doing the New Year's Day Dip, I want to do something different... So I'm planning on rowing 33km (the equivalent distance of crossing the channel to France) over the 12 days of Christmas. This works out that I'm going to row approximately 3km (maybe more if I've eaten too much chocolate) per day.

I'm raising money for the 'Nippers' (7-13 Year olds of Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club) to help support their great work in teaching children water safety skills in the pool and the ocean.

In 2022 more than a classroom full of children died due to accidental drowning in the UK. I can't begin to imagine what it's like to lose a classmate and I don't want to find out.

Teaching and training children about the importance of water safety and how to become rookie lifeguards is so very important and one day who knows, these lifeguards could be helping or saving you or your family!

Therefore, I'm taking a proactive role and I m going to try and raise as much money as I can for Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club Nipper Section.
