RUNNING FROM LONDON TO BOURNEMOUTH

is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

RUN FROM LONDON TO BOURNEMOUTH · 1 October 2025

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

From October 1st to October 5 I’ll be running from Waterloo, London to Boscombe pier, Bournemouth to say Happy Birthday to my Grandad who will be turning 85 on October 5th. I will finish at the bench he would always sit at with a cup of tea before he moved into his care home, meeting him there with my Grandma and anyone who wants to cheer me on and celebrate!

My grandad used to coach my aunty and mum in running during their youth. They were avid runners. He is now in a care home on the alzheimer’s and dementia floor.

I want to raise awareness- it is the biggest killer in the UK. Alzheimer’s society work to support research, raise awareness, and provide aid to those affected by dementia is invaluable, and I am honoured to contribute to their cause.

WOMEN CAN DO HARD THINGS! All we see online is men doing these challenges. I have been running for a year now and from my first ever run and journey to 5k, my very first race day, first half marathon, my 10k pb and most recently my sub 2 hour half marathon and both London and Berlin Marathon. I really just cannot believe how much I have grown and changed as a person looking back 12 months ago as well as how much I have achieved

The total distance is approximately 170 km.

I’ll also be celebrating my birthday during this run on October 4th, turning 29 so come celebrate with me!
