István's fundraiser for Pilgrims Hospices In East Kent

István Etiam is raising money for Pilgrims Hospices In East Kent
Pilgrims Hospices is a charity providing palliative care, free of charge, to people in east Kent. For people with a range of life-limiting illnesses, specialist services are provided from our three hospices in Canterbury, Ashford and Thanet, in patients' homes and via community programmes.

Story

My name is István Etiam, I am a singer/songwriter from Budapest, Hungary, living in Kent.

I have chosen to support Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent as it is a charity local to me and gives care and support to people coping with incurable illness. A close friend of mine is currently in a hospice in Vienna.

Please have a listen to my very first Christmas single “Lonely Christmas Time”. I hope this song will inspire you to give a donation to Pilgrims Hospices.

My challenge is to raise £500 or possibly more. This will contribute much needed financial help to fund nursing care, complementary therapies and therapy sessions to help a child to cope with the loss of a loved one.

Supporting a charity goes way back in my family. My great-grandfather Géza Zichy, lost his right arm as a young man in an accident but went on to become the world’s first one-armed classical pianist and composer. He studied with Liszt and toured all over Europe in the 1880/90s. Throughout his long career he donated all the funds he raised from his concerts to the Red Cross.

I will post regular updates on my Facebook page @istvanetiammusic, Instagram @istvanetiam and on X @istvanetiam.
