Story
Growing up, my hands underwent many forms of eczema. These forms of eczema would leave my hands with little to no function, leaving me with doubt in my ability to function in life. As common as this condition is, it has made my life uncommon. For this reason, I want to pursue dermatology, so I can help people like me. Even so, I want to help the eczema community right now. The first step in the Itch to Run campaign is a figurative one, yet the most important one. Awareness. If you, or somebody you know, suffers from eczema, simply showing up to this run would tremendously help strengthen the eczema community; so please, bring all of your friends and family! People with eczema will face exposure to new solutions for their old problems. At the event, I will be handing out eczema-friendly gloves, something that personally helped me. If you want to go the extra mile, I will have custom shirts prepared for the run available for purchase, in which all of the total revenue will be donated to the National Eczema Association. Remember, you are the change for progress in eczema awareness, and with more people you bring, the bigger the change!
