Why we're leaping for My Sight Notts
We’re the team from It’s in Nottingham - the Business Improvement District (BID) that champions our city’s businesses, culture, and community. But this Autumn, we’re taking our commitment to Nottingham to new heights - literally.
On Sunday 12 October 2025, several brave members of our team will be taking part in the My Sight Notts Charity Abseil, stepping off the side of Millers Dale Viaduct in the Peak District (yes, on purpose!) to raise money for My Sight Notts, a local charity that supports blind and partially sighted people across Nottinghamshire.
Why are we doing it? Because we believe no one should have to face sight loss alone. Losing your sight affects so much more than just vision - it can impact confidence, independence, mental health, and the ability to connect with the world. My Sight Notts is there to help people every step of the way, offering practical support, emotional guidance, and life-enhancing resources that make a real difference.
We’re proud to work in the heart of Nottingham, and even prouder to support a charity that’s making a lasting impact right here in our community. By taking on this challenge, we want to raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work My Sight Notts does every single day.
It might be a long way down - but it’s nothing compared to the uphill climb faced by many living with sight loss. Please sponsor our team and help us turn this adrenaline-fueled adventure into something truly meaningful.
👉 Donate now and support a brighter, more inclusive Nottingham for everyone.
Thank you for your support,
The It’s in Nottingham Team
