Story
I’m no stranger to running. I’ve done it on and off for the last ten years. I’ve run a marathon and more half marathons than I can remember, often in support of different charities. I’m not always the most consistent, but I know I thrive when I have a clear goal, something to train for, and a cause to get behind. This year I’ve decided to take on something a bit more ambitious: the SuperHalfs and these are six half marathons across Copenhagen, Cardiff, Valencia, Lisbon, Prague and Berlin. It is a challenge I’m really excited about, and once again I’m using it as an opportunity to raise money for a cause that means a lot to me.
I’m inspired by the work of Street Child, an incredible charity helping children access education in some of the toughest places in the world. The money raised through this challenge will go directly to supporting their work, and I would love your help getting there. In the past I’ve mostly leaned on friends and family for donations – and if you are able to support again this time, I’d be hugely grateful. But I also know I can’t keep asking the same people, so this time I’m trying something a bit different.
I’m reaching out to businesses who might be open to partnering with me. The idea is simple: I’ll support you with something you need - a hand on a market stall, help with a report, or anything else useful - and instead of paying me, you make a donation to my fundraising page. I can also help you without any donations as not everything needs to be a transaction :)
Of course, spreading the word is just as important as donating. The more people who know about Street Child and the amazing work they do, the greater the impact we can have. If you are not in a position to donate, sharing this page with friends or colleagues would still mean a lot.
Thank you so much – for reading this, for your support in any shape or form, and for helping me make these 126km across Europe count for something bigger.
