Story

For those of you who know me well, you understand that the only running I ever do is a few errands on the weekend, in my car. So when a group of 1E colleagues suggested I take part in the Giant Causeway challenge, my initial thought was that there must be an easier way to fund raise. I soon realised its not meant to be easy, so on the 14th September, 25 of me and my colleagues will be running the Giant Causeway challenge in an effort to make money for a cause near and dear to our hearts.

I had 4 women very close to me be affected by cancer in recent years. My dear friend Andrea , friend for over 30 years, followed by one of my besties Sarah, then my mum Emily and my mum in law Pam . I count myself very lucky as all of them got well again. Until 3 weeks ago! I woke up and my husband Brad sat on the bed in tears. This was second time I saw him cry. I knew Pam's cancer had come back, this time with vengeance and the prognosis is not good. But Pam is a strong woman and a fighter and I am hoping that we can beat the disease again. So I am running for you Ma ! All of you who can support me, please donate for cancer research, its so important that every 2nd person will be affected and we truly need more medical research.
