Story

In the summer of 2024, staff from Ivy Lane School are taking on the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks to support the good work of local charity Dial Wakefield.

A part of the Aurora Group, Ivy Lane School supports children from across the local area with a range of SEND needs to access a wide range of educational opportunities.

As part of the school's commitment to supporting local good causes, staff are taking on the famous Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on July 20th 2024. Over 24 challenging miles, the Yorkshire 3 peaks tests walkers with a route which includes over 1,600m of ascent as they climb the 3 peaks of Pen-Y-Gent, Whernside and Ingleborough all within the target time of 12 hours.

All monies raised will support Dial Wakefield. Dial Wakefield provide a free, comprehensive, confidential, independent advice and information service to disabled people, their carers, families, friends and other professionals.

Their services (run without cost to service users) have a strong record of helping people with disabilities to make informed choices around their life and take control of their well-being.
