This year I will be running the Berlin marathon, and I am raising funds for the Institute of Cancer Research.

Over the past few years, cancer has touched the lives of several women in my life and I have seen the strength and courage that it takes to fight against it. My grandma sadly lost her battle with breast cancer a few years ago, but I have been very moved by examples of friends and family members who have undergone the required treatments and successfully beat cancer.

Having run a marathon back in 2018, I understand that doing so takes a lot of dedication, persistence, and a strong mindset. However, this pales in comparison to the perseverance demonstrated by cancer patients every day.

The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the world's most influential cancer research institutions, with an outstanding record of achievement dating back more than 100 years. Donations play a vital role in helping researchers at the ICR to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.
