Cardiff Half 2024 for C&V Health Charity
Jamie Bevan is raising money for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity
Story
On Sunday the 6th of October 2024, I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon, alongside 7 of my colleagues from Ward B2Link at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff.
As a team, we would be so grateful for any sponsorship donations, as this will support our goal of raising money to improve the patients experience on our ward.
The ward itself is an acute general medicine ward, with a focus on providing diabetic and endocrine care.
We have set a target of raising £300 each (£2400 in total). Of the £300, £85 will be donated to the Cardiff and Vale Health Charity for University Health Board wide initiatives. Please see this link for information with regards to the charity: https://healthcharity.wales
The remaining funding that we raise will be contributed towards our ward fund. This fund will help the ward buy things that will help improve the patient experience, through engaging patients with meaningful activities.
A goal of the ward is to buy a radio for each of the 5 bays and 3 cubicles on the ward, and we would also like to add another television to the one we are already have on the ward.
