Story
I’m walking Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for the North East Autism Society, a charity whose work means a lot to me personally.
I found out at 32 that I’m autistic, and that discovery has changed my life in ways I can’t fully put into words. It helped me understand myself better, be kinder to myself, and make sense of so many things that had felt difficult or confusing for years.
Since then, I’ve become much more aware of how important the right support, understanding and acceptance can be for autistic people and their families. That’s why I’ve chosen to support the North East Autism Society. I really value the work they do and the difference they make.
In September, I’ll be taking on the challenge of walking Hadrian’s Wall over five days. It will be tough, but it feels like a fitting way to mark my own journey and raise money for a cause that genuinely matters to me.
Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot. Thank you for supporting me.
